BURTON AND LEICESTER GRASSTRACK CLUB
Donington Park Grasstrack 24-3-'12
In the big wheel MX85, it was down to the fast Daniel Van Der Hoeven cutting through the field, he will be missed from the youth racing when he moves down under. The results were Daniel trailed by Nowell, Tansley, Smithson and Proctor.

LONGBROOKE MARCH 1ST 2009
Next out were the Juniors. Mitchell Warhurst, number 41, flew into the lead where no-body could touch him, although bike problems nearly kept him out of the final race. Second and third place were much more indecisive. Ben Kind, number 30, took 2nd in race one and a third in race 3. In race 2 number 9, Thomas Simpson, took 2nd place. After a 3rd in races 1 and 2, Daniel Van der Hoeven, number 17, flew of the start-line to get the hole-shot and a 2nd place for race 3, only just holding off Ben. This 2nd gave Daniel an excellent 2nd overall and Ben got himself a well deserved 3rd.

Scunthorpe Speedway - Nov. 1st and 2nd 2008
Rounds 3 & 4 Club Championship
Once again the 2008 season weather curse tried to strike our championship but it didn't bank on the resilience and enthusiasm, not to mention the 'never say die' attitude of the LGTJRC and it's riders!
It has to be said that the weekend belonged to the Youth Riders whose grit, determination and competitive edge never waned despite the conditions which they had to endure!! This produced some of the closest and most exciting racing you could ever hope to witness!
The Auto Cadet Championship went right to the wire with no less than three riders winning various heats over the weekend. A special mention must, however, go to Jack Parkinson-Blackburn who was in devastating good form throughout and thoroughly deserved to take the title.. (Neal looked like he could use a stiff drink after the last couple of heats on the Sunday!!). Jack was in action again in the Cadet class but no-one could match Daniel Van Der Hoeven who was his usual outstanding self. That said, Sam Woolley had a good go towards the end of the weekend and looks like he could be a force to be reckoned with for 2009.

Much Hoole - June 15th 2008
For the second time this season the forecasted bad weather never reached our meeting and a day of superb racing and high emotion was enjoyed by all who attended.
The Cadet class saw equal excitment with two seperate battles raging throughout. Max Cornes showed great form but he just couldn't find an answer to Daniel Van Der Hoeven's continuing domination of this group.
Moto X 65 was again won by Daniel Van Der Hoeven on maximum points but this doesn't tell the whole story. Daniel was pressured all the way by a hard riding Jake Campbell and we can only hope that this close racing continues from now to the end of the season!

Buxton Speedway Challenge (Lancashire)-  May 18th 2008
The Cadet class was again dominated by, the seemingly unstoppable, Daniel Van Der Hoeven. Daniel was in a class of his own leaving Jack Parkinson-Blackburn to pick up the runner-up spot.
MX65 was Daniel Van Der Hoeven's race again winning all heats by a large margin from Simon Robinson. Sam Stewart raced to victory in the MX85 class.

Much Hoole (Lancashire)- April 20th 2008
The Cadet Class was poorly attended but with Daniel Van Der Hoeven riding it was never less than exciting! Daniel was in a class of his own and finished on maximum points with Tom Stewart taking second.

In the MX65's it was that man Daniel Van Der Hoeven who again finished the day on maximum points, his all out riding style causing much excitement. Jake Campbell took second and Simon Robinson followed up in third.

Meeting Report 06 April 2008

Yorkshire Junior Grasstrack Club race reports
On the 6th of April we had our first race of the season at Upper Cumberworth. The weather varied one minute it was sunny the next it was snowing! We had two practices first then only five races because the weather got too bad to do the 6th. In the end we got the following results:

MX 65 1st Daniel Van Der Hoeven

The Rider Of The Day was Daniel Van Der Hoeven whose riding was amazing to watch throughout the day

Scunthorpe Speedway Challenge(Lancashire)-March 15th ‘08
The Cadet class also saw a maximum points haul for a very quick Daniel Van Der Hoeven. Max Cornes seemed to take a while to get to grips with his new machine but as the day went on he appeared more comfortable and this class should see some close racing as the season goes on.

Much Hoole - Preston 10th June 2007 Round 2
In the Auto Cadets Tom Stewart suffered mechanical failure in practice and Megan Holtby was in fine form and looked set for a convincing third place overall until her untimely exit during the third race. Megan suffered a neck injury and damage to her knuckles. Let's hope she has a speedy recovery and is soon back on the track! Deklan Brown gave his all but had no answer to the unbelievably quick Daniel Van Der Hoeven.
